For the technically minded, the voice is modulating a 110Hz en:sawtooth wave, which is the note A two octaves below en:A440. There is also some en:reverberation and phasing added. Created for a trailer for a film. I used a grandfather clock for the main ticking of the hands but layered and added other sounds such as a heartbeat, hall kick drum with reverb and synthesis techniques. A marimba note being struck while thrown in to the air. Can't remember the mic that was used but it was a condensor mic. This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great. The sound can be used for free (though it would be great to hear about what you do with it). I play three notes on tenor trombone: Bb3, Bb2 and Bb1. They are all in first position. The first two notes are in the standard range of the trombone, while the last note is a pedal tone. This occurs when the instrument resonates at the fundamental, rather than the 2nd harmonic. Pedal Bb is relatively easy on trombone, but much harder on trumpet (I'm unable to do it, despite being proficient at trumpet and at a beginner's level on the trombone).
